Attention all early risers, nature lovers or mindfulness advocates: Every Saturday morning the Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary in Bernardsville offers a Morning Walk from 8 to 9am. This recurring event is free of charge and offers an excellent opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery at this local treasure.

Stroll through the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff and/or associate naturalist. These walks are informal and informative, covering topics like birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles and amphibians. Walks are cancelled if there is heavy rain or weather warnings.

Owned and operated by the Audubon Society, The Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary is located at 11 Hardscrabble Road in Bernardsville. Surrounded by protected space, the sanctuary borders Morristown National Historic Park near the historic Cross Estate.  It offers three miles of hiking trails along the headwaters of the Passaic River, a bookstore/nature store and Environmental Education Center. For additional information on this event and so many others offered by the Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, visit the link provided HERE.
