On Saturday, September 28, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Mendham presents An Evening of Wine and Paella from 6 to 9pm. Join old and new friends during this festive evening which includes a walk-around tasting. Proceeds will support the mission and ministries of the church, which includes the Good Shepherd Home for children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic in the Cameroon, West Africa.
A variety of wine tastings specially chosen to complement the paella will be featured, and the paella is being prepared in the traditional pan over a fire right on the front lawn of the Church. The paella is sponsored by The Cottage School, an independent community for children in grades PreK-8, with locations at St. Mark’s and in Peapack.
Suggested donation is $50 per person, and there will also be a silent auction, wine pull and live auction of services. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is located in the center of the historic district of Mendham, and its sanctuary features Carpenter-Gothic style architecture typical of the nineteenth century.
