John Turpin receives 2012 broker leadership awardJohn D. Turpin Honored With Broker Leadership Award
Turpin Real Estate, Inc. is a Diamond Award Nominee

John D. Turpin was the recipient of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World’s Broker Leadership Award and his firm, Turpin Real Estate, Inc., was a finalist for the Diamond Award, presented March 25 at the organization’s 2012 Annual Conference.  The Conference attracted 1,000 real estate brokers, managers, relocation professionals, sponsors and guests from across the U.S. and over a dozen countries worldwide, who gathered at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort in Florida.

Diamond Award nominations are granted each year to a select group of member companies that have most actively participated in the business opportunities available through Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, specifically: lead generation, professional growth, technology and branding.  Turpin was one of only twenty-six nominated from the organization’s 550 worldwide brokerage members, and the only nominee from New Jersey.

The Broker Leadership Award was granted to John Turpin in recognition of his progressive vision in embracing new technology and innovation, while at the same time thoughtfully respecting the history of his third-generation company.  “John personifies the qualities we would all hope for in our companies’ future leaders,” said Pam O’Connor, President and CEO of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.  “He worked his way up as an agent and then a manager in his family’s company, learning from the experience and wisdom of others, and never trading on his name.  Forced prematurely to take the reins due to the untimely death of his father, Jack Turpin, John has proceeded with courage and a thoughtful, caring leadership style.”

“I am especially proud of our Diamond Award nomination because it affirms the dedication of our individual agents, the success of our uniquely collaborative workplace, and, ultimately, the high levels of satisfaction our clients experience when buying or selling their homes through Turpin,” says Cathy Roberts, Turpin’s General Manager.  “This nomination acknowledges Turpin’s outsize presence in our market:  it is truly remarkable that with just five offices and approximately 100 agents, Turpin is among the top tier in a global network that incorporates 4,600 offices and 140,000 sales associates.”

Says John Turpin, ”Leading Real Estate Companies of the World is a tremendous organization which we are proud to be a part of. To have been recognized by the largest and most successful network of real estate agencies in the world is an honor that will forever be a source of great pride to me.  ”

WSJ House of The Day Logo
Turpin Listing Featured on The Wall Street Journal’s Website

A popular feature in the online Wall Street Journal is the House of the Day. On March 21, the website included one of Turpin’s listings, a historic Harding Township home dating back to the 1700s. Using the headline “A Country Colonial in New Jersey,” the accompanying slideshow highlights both the interior and exterior of this bucolic antique home.

The owner was interviewed and her comments lend additional insights to the photos. Restored over a 13-year period to its present-day authenticity, the three-story Colonial retains many of its original 18th century features such as wavy glass-paned windows, a vintage kitchen and flooring of oak, pine and chestnut. Surrounded by ten acres, the waterfront Harding home for sale has a pond and a brook running through its borders. A lovely antique home in the New Vernon section of the township, this special property is a unique and completely charming new listing.
