Barbara "Barb" Barisonek

Barbara is the Chatham Office Manager and Vice President of Business Development.   She has been associated with Turpin for the majority of her real estate career which began three decades ago.  Previously, Barbara was Manager of the Mendham Office, a role she held from 1997 to 2010.

In July 2010, Barbara was chosen to manage Turpin’s fifth office in a beautiful and historic building on Main Street in downtown Chatham.  Over the years, Jack and John Turpin noticed that many of their clients originated in Chatham and the surrounding towns.  As business in this area steadily increased, it became clear that Turpin would be a perfect fit for communities in eastern Morris, western Essex and Union Counties.    Creating a Chatham Office reflects Turpin’s mission to maintain a smaller, highly effective group of the best sales associates in the business.  In order to achieve that goal, Barbara and her team continue Turpin’s legacy of providing the highest level of service to home buyers and sellers. 

In her role as Vice President of Business Development, Barbara manages the e-business, relocation, referral, and client services teams.  She particularly enjoys interacting with relocation professionals from across the country and has won numerous awards for outstanding service and sales in the relocation field.

Barbara brings high levels of energy and enthusiasm to her dual roles at Turpin.  These positions expand her knowledge of the real estate industry on a daily basis, which is an asset to buyers, sellers and relocation companies.  Clients and co-workers rely on her empathetic support, knowing that her unflagging good humor and outgoing personality will shine though in any situation.

Barbara has a strong desire to be involved with her local community.  She is President of the Board of Directors for the New Jersey Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and she received the Golden Bell Leadership Award from the Mental Health Association in New Jersey in 2006.

Active on her real estate boards, Barbara is a lifelong New Jersey resident living in Morris County.  In her free time, interests include cooking, sailing, travel and the theater. She and her husband, Larry, have a grown son living in New Jersey with his wife and three children.
