John "Jay" McNamara

John McNamara brings a unique background to his position at Turpin Real Estate. Prior to joining the Oldwick office, John spent 25 years working in Senior Marketing and Sales positions at three Fortune 200 companies (RJR Nabisco, Honeywell and The Nielsen Company). This corporate experience makes him a valuable resource for relocating executives. After receiving his real estate license, it was Turpin's commitment to professionalism, teamwork and integrity in the marketplace that led him to the company. Holding dual bachelors degrees in Political Science and Communications from the University of Pittsburgh, he also earned a Masters degree in Public Administration while living in Northern California.

Active in the community as business owners of a home furnishing and interior design business since 1988, John and his wife have lived in both Hunterdon and Somerset counties. They have also been actively involved with the ARC of Somerset County raising both awareness and funding. As a result, John is a knowledgeable resource for 'the pulse' of Somerset and Hunterdon counties. Having owned, built, and sold six different homes in four different states John has a true appreciation of the real estate process.

John and Melissa have two sons, one has recently graduated from college and the other is attending college in Northern California. In his spare time John enjoys playing golf with his sons, helping his wife manage her business, serving on the boards of two privately held companies and reading business and history books.
