Karen Tourville

Since joining the Mendham Office in 2003, Karen has had the benefit of partnering with some of the top producers at Turpin Real Estate.  Along the way, these mentors have shaped her apprenticeship and taught her first hand.  They were generous with their experience, their clients and their time.  It’s that camaraderie and fellowship that led Karen to Turpin in the first place. It’s also one of the reasons that Karen is a consistent producer and regular member of Turpin’s Million Dollar Club.  

Karen believes firmly that each and every transaction brings a unique set of circumstances and a unique opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.  “Our job allows us to walk with people on some of their happiest days, and on some of their most challenging days.”  Karen takes pride in making that walk a little easier and in helping her clients to achieve their goals. In addition to serving the needs of her clients, Karen feels it is equally important to treat her colleagues and other real estate professionals with respect.  This mantra continues to serve her well in keeping deals together, especially when the real estate market encounters turbulence and transactions become complicated.

Karen holds a business degree from the University of Notre Dame (B.B.A., Marketing), and worked in account management for several years at some of the area’s largest advertising agencies.  Her education, professional experience and her current work as a freelance writer have also prepared her with the marketing skills and business acumen that are beneficial to succeeding in real estate. 

Karen grew up in Morristown, but has called Chester Township home for almost twenty years.  She and her husband David have two grown children and a daughter at West Morris Mendham High School.   As a family, they enjoy raising puppies for The Seeing Eye and are active puppy sitters for the Nifty Healers 4-H Club.  Karen enjoys spending time with her children and extended family in Avon-by-the-Sea.  Her other interests include gardening, reading, and tap dancing.  Karen is an active member and former board member of the Women’s Association of Morristown Memorial Hospital.  She has served on numerous committees and held other board positions at Assumption School in Morristown, St. Joseph’s School in Mendham, Villa Walsh Academy and the Notre Dame Club of North Jersey.
