Richard Monks

After graduating from Villanova University, Richard joined a Fortune 500 Company as a management trainee and eventually became Manager of Purchasing. He later formed his own manufacturers' representative group, a career he pursued for over 20 years. Richard has extensive experience in both sales and purchasing. Negotiating contracts both nationally and internationally was an almost daily occurrence and one that brought him an understanding of how to work with people to achieve a common goal. Richard and his wife Barbara have lived in Harding for over 25 years, and she has been a Turpin sales agent for most of that period. Richard has served on the Board of Directors of the Lake Association where he and Barbara reside. He enjoys golf and travel, history studies, and is an avid fan of the New York Giants.
