With an impressive career path that began in New York as a licensed real estate agent during the 1980s, Jim is proud to be a successful member of the Oldwick sales team. His executive background as a hands-on manager and sales director combines with 20-plus years of experience as a business owner, making Jim a well-rounded and highly professional sales associate. In addition to the real estate industry, he has worked in the manufacturing and medical fields.
Jim has an uncanny ability to hone in on his clients’ needs and he also possesses a rare understanding of their requirements as a buyer or seller. “Clients typically are interested in moving forward with their lives, and what I do facilitates the achievement of their personal and professional goals,” Jim explains. “In addition, I’ve built my own large custom home and have both owned and leased several others. I can truly say; ‘I’ve been there and done that,’ when it comes representing my clients.” Having moved several times before settling in Hunterdon County, Jim is familiar with the challenges of building a home, moving and relocating.
Married to his wife Connie for over 20 years, the couple has two daughters in college and a son in high school. The family resides in Tewksbury with their dog Charlie, a 10-year old Coton de Tulear. In his free time, Jim enjoys sailing, hiking, tennis, travel, cycling, gardening, and summer vacations in Nantucket. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Marketing specialty from The State University of New York.
Giving back to the local community is important to Jim, who has been involved in various organizations including U.S. Sailing and the Boy Scouts of America. He has been the Scoutmaster of Oldwick Troop 199 for the last few years, where he has been responsible for over 50 youths and over 20 adult volunteers. Jim has recently accepted positions as Board Member of Round Valley Youth Center and on The President's Council of The BSA where Jim assists the direction of over fifteen thousand area youth. As a trainer of future citizen leaders, the skills and traits that shine through in Jim’s real estate career include his deep understanding of servant leadership, which is both a philosophy and set of practices based on sharing power, putting the needs of others first and helping people perform on the highest possible level.
Working with Jim is a positive and energizing experience. Clients and co-workers describe him as friendly yet assertive, a desirable synthesis for real estate professionals. Rely on Jim for caring, personable and result-oriented service when you are ready to buy or sell a home.
