Opera at Florham continues to celebrate its 35th season with “Mingle and Jingle” at Lenfell Hall at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison on Sunday December 3 at 2 pm. The chorus of Fairleigh Dickinson University-Madison will join Opera at Florham’s singers for an afternoon of traditional holiday music and songs concluding with a sing-along with the audience. Lenfell Hall, located in the campus’ Hennessy Hall, was the drawing room of the Vanderbilt-Twombly family’s Gilded Age estate when they lived in the 100-room mansion. Lenfell Hall is handicapped-accessible and free van shuttle service from parking lots will be available. The FDU Chorus will perform a cappella arrangements of “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Shabbat Shalom,” and “He’s Gone Away,” conducted by Dr. Allen Cohen, Professor of Music. Opera at Florham singers will offer a selection of traditional carols, religious and other beautiful holiday duets with holiday medleys. Members of the audience will be invited to the stage to mingle with the performers by joining them in singing some carols. The second half will include jazz themed-holiday music and a sing-along with the audience. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors, $5 for students and $20 for groups over 10.
