The 97th annual Far Hills Race Meeting--the country’s most prestigious steeplechase event and one of New Jersey’s most beloved social events – occurs on Saturday, October 21st at Moorland Farm in Far Hills. This popular annual event benefits Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville and the Cancer Support Community of Central New Jersey. The highlight of the day’s six races is the Grand National, steeplechasing’s richest race which draws a highly competitive field of premier horses from around the world. Seeing and being seen is another key part of the day. Spectators create unique and often extravagant fall picnic areas in their reserved parking spots, complete with beautiful floral center pieces, haybale seating, ice carvings and gourmet feasts. General admission tickets may be purchased in advance for $100. General parking passes will be sold in advance for $30. On race day, general admission tickets are $200. Same day tickets are only available for purchase at the gate. Online tickets can be printed at home or shown on your mobile device.
