The Green Village Fire Department is hosting a Veteran’s Day service and wreath laying on Saturday, November 11 at 11:00 AM. The ceremony will take place at the Memorial Stone on Memorial Way in the Green Village section of Chatham Township. The fire department is 100% volunteer run by community members. Protecting over 1,000 homes and businesses, they provide fire and rescue service for Chatham Township and portions of Harding Township. An integral part of the area’s social fabric, the Green Village Fire Department hosts events all year long, including a Paint & Sip, Clay Shot and Pig Roast, Flea Market, Fourth of July Parade, Annual Golf Outing and the popular Visit From Santa on a firetruck taking place on Sunday, December 3.
