The rallying cry of the highly anticipated Visiting Nurse Association of the Somerset Hills’ Fall Rummage Sale is summed up this way: “3 Days. 25 departments. Bargains for everyone and all ages.” This is a can’t-miss event for treasure seekers and will be held this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 5, 6 and 7, at the Far Hills Fairgrounds. The rain or shine sale is open 9:30am to 3:30pm on Friday and Saturday and 12:30 to 3:30 pm on Sunday. The Fairgrounds are located at the intersection of U.S. Route 202 and Peapack Road/Route 512.
Once called a “discount wonderland,” the 75,000 square foot event is the oldest and largest rummage sale in New Jersey. 2018 marks the 96th year of this highly-anticipated sale where open and tented areas are filled with one-of-a-kind items in every imaginable category. Furniture, clothing, toys, books, computers, jewelry, dishes, household items, holiday-themed goods, costumes, curtains, sporting goods, musical instruments, office supplies, electronics, arts & crafts areas are among the offerings. A snack stand for hungry shoppers and free on-site parking are available.
Proceeds from this volunteer-run sale provide home health, adult day care services, wellness services and hospice care to needy families in the community
